This one also adds in a randomly generated world that begs for exploration and rewards you with snippets of the game’s mythology. Moon Hunters isn’t a revolutionary idea, but this RPG hits all the points you want in a fantasy world: a grand story, fun characters and just the right amount of challenge for a powerful hero. Moon HuntersSometimes great execution of a familiar idea is the best thing a game can do. The beautiful, textured environment is the setting for an adventure game centered on Lumi, who must solve puzzles and help a colorful cast of characters as she looks for her kidnapped grandfather. It sets the player loose in a model city made of paper and cardboard that was captured with motion control rigs and stop motion animation. Game designer Colm Larkin’s quirky sense of humor means that your heros have strange personalities - and your enemies press unusual attacks. To get the best loot for your heroes, you’ll have to make a well-designed dungeon that levels them up and prepares them for serious battles. You’re both the leader of a heroes’ guild and the dungeon master who creates their challenges. It takes the ideas of group tabletop games and turns them on their head for a goofy single-player experience. Guild of DungeoneeringThis game might have been one of the funniest things at E3. FutureGrind is slated for release in early 2016 on PlayStation 4, with plans to add PC and Mac in the future. You’ll need to be sure that the colors line up as you flip and jump your way over these challenging courses. The race track laid out before you has track sections of those same colors. You ride a futuristic motorcycle that has one pink and one blue wheel. The game is due out on Steam and Xbox One in 2016.įutureGrind FutureGrind strikes the perfect balance between challenging your dexterity and creating that addictive “just one more try” mentality. As you might expect of a game harkening to the Great Depression era, the difficulty level here is quite high. Come for the amazing artwork, stay for the clever boss battles.

That means fascinating conversations and dates with serious stakes.
